Street Style: beyond the Catwalks of 080

Posted by: Veronica Maya

Last week the capital of Catalonia held its biannual fashion week: Barcelona 080. We were blown away by the amazing fashion shows we attended but some of the best style we saw was from the locals and visitors off the catwalk! We bring you the hottest 8 looks straight from the Barcelona trend lovers and fashionistas at 080.

Our first fashionista had a quintessentially Barcelona style with a hint of laid back utility in her Miu Miu style slippers and high collar shirt. Simple and comfy shapes are really where it’s at for F/W13.

Leopard print, tartan print and a man clutch! You couldn’t ask for much more in terms of fab trends for F/W 13. This Barcelona couple showed us how easy it is to use colour to vamp up a look and the leopard fur coat is of course a wardrobe staple for any glam fashionista. Tartan is also a must have print for your F/W 13 looks.

These ladies below were sporting the same iconic print styles we saw all over the runways in Louis Vuitton print boots and tartan shirts. Proof that all you need is a splash of print.

As mentioned in last week’s post the clutch is an ideal complement to any outfit. This Spanish trend setter was loving the leather and played with different fabrics and textures to really emphasize the gorgeousness of the material.

Leather was a real winning look at both 080 Barcelona and on other F/W13-14 runways.

These chicas had the leather look just right with an air of gothic chic, studded accessories and a wide brimmed hat.

The wide brimmed hat is another essential accessory for F/W13 and a favourite of latin style icon Jennifer López.

One of the most breathtaking looks we saw on the runways of 080 was this Javier Simorra piece accessorized perfectly for winter.

Our next street style icon below must have taken a page out Javier Simorra’s book because her winter look was perfect with leggings, a masculine cut tweed jacket and heels.

This fashionista was hot on the trend wagon with a subtle touch of laser cut in her top. The laser cut in all its different forms adds elegance to any outfit and is one of our favourite textiles for the coming season.

Last but not least were these two trend lovers, in lovely fur and transparent lace combo beautifully accented with vintage jewellery.
