It’s minus freezing outside but the AGORIQUE team are feeling the heat checking out the hottest looks at the trés trendy Paris tradeshow Who’s Next. We scoured the aisles of one of the world’s biggest fashion trade fairs to bring you the best looks from the event’s trendiest photographers, designers, buyers and press.
The first visitor to catch our eye was Estelle who was on the look out for the coolest new hats and accessories for her boutique Caboche in Nancy, France.
She had just fallen in love with exciting independent French label Danity which has acquired a reputation for its sweet and girly feel ever since its launch in 2009. Danity has an amazing offering for the coming season trends like this playful tiger knit sweater.
Just like Estelle this label has a style that is different from others and romanticism is a key trend for 2013; with sweet flower prints, lace and ribbons as a base. It was all about the little details of her outfit as she combined a polka dot baby doll dress with matching ornamental hair tie totally keeping in tune with the vintage inspired looks we saw all over the trade show. This madmoissele really knows how to accessorize.
Matilde and Helen from Paris were sporting another hot trend for 2013 with their Aztec inspired cardigans.
They were blown away by the German brand Codello which they said would be a must for their soon to open Paris concept store because of the romantic and playful designs of their products.
French buyer Estelle was also keeping it Aztec in her Manoush cardigan.
She gave us her hot tip for 2013: Spanish brand Las noches Ibiza is going to be massive. A quick glance at these artfully sophisticated pieces made from lace, muslin-chiffon and embroidered cotton and you’ll see why celebrities are loving it and why it’s only stocked at select boutiques in fashionista hotspots Ibiza, Cannes, Milan, Miami and Saint Tropez.
It wasn’t just the French ladies who were trend setting at Who’s Next, Reem and Nora, both fashion designers from Saudi Arabia were rocking a totally unique look. Reem (below) was sporting a limited edition Chanel purse, vintage glasses and fur wrap, while her belt and dress were designed and made by herself for her own label Nosh Designs.
Nora’s look was all about gold and luxury, with gold jewelry and Burberry fur coat perfectly accessorized with leopard print earmuffs from her own collection.
Press from Paris magazine Wadmag were rocking the utility military trend with a camel collarless jacket with hybrid layering combining leather and cloth.
Photographers from Eliz Dream were looking playfully colorful and rocking the digital print trend.
Angeline, buyer for Toulouse boutique Le Pied en Cap was loving two key trends for 2013: brocade and romanticism. Her look was all about including hints of these trends with her brocade leggings and flowery silk blouse which was ideal for next season’s romanticism trend.
Last but not least Ines and Ana, designers from Barcelona brand Saako showed us how to do the floral print trend while also showing what four days of none stop fashion mayhem can do to a girl.
